These boho home decor vibes always manage to look super comfortable and cozy while also being classy! There’s always this feeling of magic surrounding them that’s just hard to replicate. Imagine drinking a warm cup of your favorite tea surrounded by all your favorite plants and the softest pillows you’ve ever had the pleasure of cuddling- walking into a boho style living room after a long tiring day would definitely do anyone some good.

I know what you’re thinking. You’d LOVE to experience the kind of magic having a boho living room would give but you just don’t know where to start! Should you paint your walls a shade of creamy white? Should you call your local gardener for a bulk order of indoor plants? (ummm yes. that answer is YES). What other ideas are you thinking about? Comment below!
Every boho space is different and should completely depend on what makes you comfortable and at ease! No clear-cut template here. Every interior design style has its staples though, and here are some of our favorites!

Mix Natural Elements with Bold Colors
A great way to create boho vibes in your living room is to mix natural elements like wicker chairs, rope planter baskets and wood coffee table with bright bold colors in rugs or throw pillows.
Jojotastic has an amazing Boho Living with lots key elements for decorating such as Egg Wicker chair, Boho Rug, low wood coffee table, rope planter and much more! We love how she is able to mix natural colors with bold colors.
Another amazing shot from Jojotastic she has a very light and airy living room with faux fur throw blanket, interesting planters, macrame curtains. I love her style!
Light Things Up
Candles always give homes a very cozy and warm feeling. I personally like to light candles at night when I get home from work and dim the lights to have a more relaxed feeling and get my kids to chill out. For a Boho effect I love these gold Votives in both medium and small size from Rebel Villa plus they are super affordable and will soon be available on AMAZON, holla!
Here is another image of Rebel Villa’s Candles being used in an outdoor boho backyard. These gold votives pair nicely with any plant or centerpiece. I love the small and the big sizes.
Leather and Fur Throw Pillows
Spruce up any couch in you living room by adding leather and fur throw pillows. The mix of textures adds interest to your boho inspired living room and can brighten the space.
Miss Lifestyler mixes leather and fur throw pillows with a beautiful bold blue velvet couch to create a more vintage bohemian room. She also created an amazing wall using hexagon shelves mixed with succulents and planters. I also really like the gold accents she adds like the gold glass coffee table and gold standing lamp
Macrame, Macrame, Macrame!
I love me some macrame. It adds soft natural color to any boho room while also giving dimension and texture. This works well for Rustic Boho, Boho Farmhouse, Boho Mod, Boho Luxe and my latest and greatest favorite theme which is Southwestern Boho. Bring on the bulls! Below living room is from my sister site (and passion project) Rebel Villa has more of a Scandi Boho or Norwegian boho vibe, its more minimal and natural but I love the macrame pillow that is front and center.
Another shot from my house! A fun way to bring Boho to an outdated space. This is what I call a cover up! In an effort to bring natural vibes to a very cold and marbled fireplace I simply hung a macrame banner, added plants, a faux fur rug and some white spray painted wood. Its very easy to add just a few elements in order to create a boho vibe.
Invest in classic functional pieces
Trends come and go but investment pieces are eternal- especially when they look this classy! Little pieces like sleek black photo frames and elegant candle holders can instantly breathe life to empty shelves like magic.
Jax and Co.‘s shelf-ie game is top notch! Pairing her black photo frames with classic wooden photo frames and pieces really gave color to her sleek white industrial shelves. We also love her gold candle holders and chic plant holders!
Layer your pieces and add indoor plants
Have you ever looked at one of the pieces you swore you would definitely use but it just looks too plain on its own? Sometimes all it needs is a little help from a friend! Layer your pieces together and create something new- you’ll never know what interior design wonders you’ll come up with.
The La Fleur House‘s triangle printed cream rug definitely looks gorgeous on its own but layering a mocha circle rug on top of it made it even better! It really gave it an extra boost and made her warm neutral boho space look homey as ever.
Rug layering has always been a staple in boho living. Especially brightly colored clashing rugs. Below is a picture of my husbands office. He wanted a basic grey rug but I demanded more color and so I layered them and voila! We both agreed that we LOVE IT. Adding plants is always 100% key as well!
I hope you enjoyed this post! We are launching home decor products on Amazon in JAN 2020 from our sister site REBEL VILLA and will be offering MAJOR discount codes in exchange for honest reviews. IF YOU WANT TO BE ON THE LIST SIGN UP HERE !
