Welcome to DAY 4 of the Anthropologie knock off challenge!! I am SO excited to be a part of this challenge brought to you by an amazing group of talented bloggers. Every day this week we will each be sharing a project inspired by Anthropologie. Today I am sharing my Owl Dresser Pulls for $5!! I am also featuring knock off designs from my fellow bloggers below, check them out….. simply click the picture to visit their post.

This owl knob was actually really fun and easy to make. Since I was not following the anthropologie version exactly I had some freedom to do whatever I wanted, so owls it is!
As for materials.. Dresser pull from home depot, Super Glue, Paint, rhinestone stickers and any sort of bug or animal type figurine that you can find.
I searched the thrift store for animal beads, jewelry or small figurines but could not find any so I bought the owl head charms at Michaels. If you can find some really cool brooches at the thrif store I think this project could be AMAZING using old vintage brooch elements. I just didn’t have that kind of luck 🙁
First Step: Paint the drawer pull Also make sure to spray it with clear gloss spray (not pictured)
Second Step: Glue on the beads and let dry. As you can see I pulled out an old bracelet from the thrift store that I had never used and decided to use some beads from it for this project.
Last Step: Screw the knob into your dresser. Mine did not fit so I had to bulk up the back with some washers my husband had.
Well?! What do you think? had to sort of dress up my side table a bit to make it fit the owl pull a little better. Succulents and a spoon plate stand make everything better.
Throughout the week You will see all of our projects being pinned to our Group Anthro Pinterest Board along with the original anthropologie designs. Go and check it out…

Sonnet, this is such a cute project! And I adore anything that incorporates vintage jewelry, so I may try this 🙂 The craft stores have lots of options for charms, too, and I love your owls!

THank you Angela!! I was really hoping to find a vintage brooch from the thrift store to use but the rhinestones worked
Love this project! I’ve been hunting for cute knobs for the two dressers we have. I am so sick of the standard Ikea knobs!!! If this baby is a girl, I’m totally making some of these for her dresser! The rhinestones might be a bit too glam for my boys’ dresser, huh? Great knock off!!

Thank you Katie! I def do not think your boys will appreciate the rhinestones lol. I am still TEAM PINK
How CUTE and CLEVER is this?! I love it and it looks fantastic on your table. I love furniture with a touch of jewelry. I need to find a reason to make one {or more} of these!
