I’ve been so busy posting about Valentines day that I forgot to write about my project get organized - garage craft space! It is all finished and looks great. Not only does it look great but I am finally able to find my stuff. Amazing! The ONLY trouble with having a craft space in the garage is that if I just watched Walking Dead or any other scary show, I can’t go outside. My husband put a huge bright light in the area between the door and the garage but it doesn’t matter, I am still scared….zombies can sneak up on you. Those nights I pile my crafts on the table to go out in the morning 🙂
Ok ok… the AFTER shot looks messier then the BEFORE, but keep in mind that all of these crafts were originally stuffed into our hallway closet and our guest room dressers. Crafts everywhere. So this AFTER shot is gorgeous to me 🙂 I just wanted it out of the house.
In my PHASE 1 Post I put up the peg board, the shelf and made the yellow lined bucket. For Phase 2 I took my storage bins mod podged on some craft paper to make them look pretty.
Next I organized all of my crafts and put them into the bins….
Here is exactly what is in my bins for anyone who cares to take a peek into my world of crafting. I don’t have much… you will never see any fancy craft supplies being used in my blog posts. This unemployed mama is pinching pennies for sure.…
After organizing everything into the bins I made my little chalkboard labels. I don’t have sticker paper so I just printed onto normal paper and glued onto the bins. I am going to post these chalkboard labels in a blank version for free download next week, will update this page with a link when I do!
Last finishing touch on my garage craft space is the the She’s Soho Crafty sign. It is a simple craft paper sign. I originally designed it to say She’s So Crafty but at the last minute changed it to soho crafty. If you would like to download the original sign click this link for the PDF Shes SO Crafty Sign. After you print it, keep in mind the letter are backward because you will glue them to the backs of your craft paper and cut out. See below for exact steps
Hope you enjoyed a little sneak peak in to my crafting world and how I was able to FINALLY get myself organized. I am inspired to do much more organizing now! Next stop is my car…. then my room… well, I could go on and on.

What a cute AND organized space! I love all the pops of pattern & color. I’m working on my craft organization right now too and used a similar color scheme - teal, gray/silver, & navy. I’m a little jealous your space is finished 🙂

I know how you feel Emily! It took me a couple weeks to get that space together, just a little bit at a time.

I love how you decorated the fronts of all your bins. They look so cute! (Those white boxes look suspiciously familiar - are they from IKEA?)
