I found my watercolor pencils in my old college art bin last weekend while organizing my garage craft space and was really excited to sit down and use them! Scarlett went to bed….. I opened a beer, turned on some music and started painting. SO RELAXING! I design mostly in the computer and I completely forgot how amazing it is to paint. Such a free feeling.
If you do not have experience with paints I highly recommend buying water color pencils and playing around with them. It is as simple as doodling then wiping water over your sketches and creating a water color effect. I like to layer up really thick in some areas so that I can add water and make a little puddle to pull paint from, then I use that to paint a lighter more tinted effect elsewhere.
I scanned in my watercolor artwork and formatted them into a few different options for you to use! Here they are for download
- Love Watercolor Print 5 ” x 7″
- A2 Love Watercolor Folded Card 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
- A6 Love Watercolor Folded Card 6 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
Here is how I made them if you would like to make your own!
- Put your sticker letters on the watercolor paper.
- Sketch around the letters with your watercolor pencils
- Paint water over your sketch
- Let dry
- Pull off the letters

Watercolor pencils and beer. Sounds like my kind of night! I’ve been wanting to get into watercolors but am a little intimidated. Pencils seem like the way to go! These look great, Sonnet! Look forward to seeing the tags :).
