Pink Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Valentine + Printable - SohoSonnet

Materials Needed:

  • Ikea Jar = $2.50 {x4}
  • Mini Marshmallow bag = $1
  • Can of Hot Chocolate = $4
  • Cardstock for printing gift tag {I had some}
  • bakers twine or any rope you have {I had some}

I used the above ingredients to make 4 jars, the price averaged out to $4 a jar. If you do not have an ikea or you dont want to spend money then use sauce jars like marina etc, they look great and you only need to paint the lid (chalkboard paint?!).

Step 1 - Pour Hot chocolate powder to fill 2/3 of your jar {sorry no pic, this is pretty clear tho}

Step 2 - Make the Pink Marshmallows

  1. Pour your marshmallows into a bowl
  2. Mix 1 tablespoon of water with a small amount of food coloring (less water)
  3. Add a tiny bit of the dye water to the marshmallows and stir. Add more if needed but keep in mind the wetter your marshmallows get the more they will stick together and become mushy.
  4. Pour onto a baking sheet covered in tin foil or parchment paper.  Spread them out so they are touching as little as possible
  5. Let dry

MAKING PINK MARSHMALLOWS VALENTINE HOT CHOCOLATE

Step 3- Put your marshmallows in the top section of the jar. Make sure they are totally dry before putting them in.

Step 4- Add a gift tag. You can grab one MANY options by visiting my post Valentine Gift Tag Printable Post Here. Here are a few pictures of gift tag options….
