I’ve always hated Valentines day. In high school people bought hershey kiss valentines sponsored by the school and passed out in last period class. I never got one. In my college years Valentines day was just singles awareness day. It was a day when all of the annoying wretched couples got to celebrate and the rest of us drowned our sorrows in booze, lots of booze. I love booze 🙂 In my married life valentines day was a competition between women at work to see who would get the biggest and the best gifts delivered to their cubicle.
This year, however, things are different I am actually in the spirit! Having Scarlett really brightened up my attitude and she reminds me if everything I loved as a kid. Making valentine boxes and writing out my valentines to my friends. My box was always amazing and over the top, no shoebox for me, my mom is the OG craft extraordinaire.
Last year I got up super early to take this picture of 3month old Scarlett before heading off for work! And came home to flowers from Chris for both of us. My best Valentines day for as long as I can remember.
So this year I am starting out on a good foot. Earlier this week I designed some Valentines Day Printables and posted our first craft Toddler Heart craft with Scarlett. Today I put together this 8$ Valentines Day Centerpiece (yes seriously 8$) that I love. These bottles could also be used as decorations for anywhere in your house.
Below items were from the dollar store (except ribbon from michaels). I simply added the hearts sticks and mustache stickers to my Ikea bottles that I already had. If you dont have basic clear glass bottles I suggest to go and get some at ikea or the thrift store. I use them all the time).
I added ribbon onto the candles and just put a little double stick tape underneath. Glue or hot glue would work great too.
Last minute I decided to add a printable to the mix. I already have some frames from the dollar store that I keep hidden in a drawer so my husband does not know that my fabric hoarding has now spilled over into the dangerous world of craft hoarding. (If you read this Chris, the crafts are from the dollar store, like 10$ max I swear) .
I painted the frame pink and popped in the Valentines Day Printable
So that is my 8$ table centerpiece for Valentines Day! Hope it gave you some ideas…..

they look so cute. Love the Dollar Store! I have a couple of salad dressing in my fridge that look like those glass bottles. I guess I’ll be repurposing those too!
This turned out really cute!! Love that printable! When I was at Ikea I saw those milk bottles and were debating on getting them! Maybe I might have to make a trip back there and grab some!

Thanks for the invite Claire I just did!
So cute! I love the little mustaches. I’m guilty of strategically putting away some of my craft purchases out of my husband’s sight too. The problem is I forget about them too! Thanks for linking up to the Thursday S.T.Y.L.E. Link Party. Hope to see you again tonight!
