This is such a simple banner and so beautiful once finished! Easy, easy, easy. This Scrapbooking Paper Banner Sign is great for birthdays, weddings, showers or any other kind of party! It is made from scrapbooking paper that I already had in my craft dresser, printed letters and some twine. My girlfriends and I made this while drinking wine and gossiping at girls night. I did one as an example first (and took pictures below) then my friends and I made the rest of the banner together. The cutting is what takes the most time so I encourage you to have some friends over, give them lots of wine and hope that they can cut straight!
Materials needed: Scrapbooking paper, Printed Letters, Tape, Ribbon

I’ve always loved this banner every time I see it. You did a great job making it. If you had a Silhouette you wouldn’t have to hand cut your banners anymore!! ;-P

Hey Courtney! I had the same idea about cutting out the letters on my Silhouette. Only thing is, how do you go about printing out the letter and then making the silhouette recognize the shape and where to cut?
This is beautiful! Have already purchased all my supplies! Is it possible for you to provide a link to the Alphabet and numbers for this? I like the idea of having it read Happy 1st Birthday like your photos show and also my daughter’s name…
Many thanks in advance!
That is a good idea! I hope to have time to update and add the alphabet soon. I really should start doing that from now on. I will email you as soon as I update it.
Just wanted to thank you for your responsiveness - have received you email with the full alphabet AND numbers - so excited !!!
Thanks so much for helping me make such a unique and beautiful banner for my kiddo!
Great!! So glad you got it and it worked out
Hey, I was wondering, where did you find this font and what is the name of it? Been trying to find it. Thanks. This is an awesome idea by the way. Thanks.
Thank you SO much for your step by step directions on how to make this banner. I made this banner for my daughter’s 3rd birthday party and she and everyone else at the party loved it. I used glittered scrapbook paper which turned out really cute. Planning on using it again next year and just switching out the year. I would post a picture of it here but I’m not sure how.
So glad it worked out for you!
Thank for the awesome banner! Made this for a surprise party! Turned out great!
is there any chance you have any symbols in this font? like exclamation points or apostrophe?
thanks so much!
Thanks for the tutorial and you are so cool to share the templates too!
Worked out great! Thank You!!!! I’ve made a simple “Happy Birthday” for my Grans 80th birthday party on Sunday. Looks fantastic!
I love this! It is so beautiful and cost effective. I am in the process of planning my grandson’s first birthday party and due to things beyond my daughters control we had to pretty much diy everything. I will post pics after just because I have searched and finally found a diy banner worthy enough for me. I just can not get over how it looks. #FLAWLESS
Hi, I loved it!
I have a picture of my proyect.
Thanks ?
LOVE this banner! The circus lettering was exactly what I was looking for for a Monty Python themed b-day party 🙂
Thank you!
I agree 100% with your scrapbooking paper banner ad design and all the exclusive staff of banners!!
Thank you for sharing- that’s really beautiful. I love the contrast between the colorful background paper and the black and white lettering! For party banners, I usually fold the top of the paper around the string or ribbon, and tape it down. It makes them a lot more secure on the ribbon.
